Mercy College was founded in 1965 as a Catholic Girls’ College in the Mercy Tradition and has a proud and rich history of educating young women from Years 7 to 12. Guided by the Mercy values of Excellence, Hospitality, Justice and Compassion, we pride ourselves on fostering a community which empowers each student to be inquisitive, courageous and persistent.
Our student-centred wellbeing system supports our students at school and at home. Specific wellbeing programs are conducted for each year level and explore topics and issues relevant to the students’ developmental needs. Relationships are nurtured at the College and restorative conversations develop reflective and empathetic young ladies.
Our learning programs are underpinned by the skills needed in the 21st century, which include critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration and teamwork, personal and social skills and ICT.
At Mercy, we respect, value and celebrate each student’s unique gift and all that she brings to our community. We strive for our students to feel a sense of belonging and connectedness to learn and grow as a Mercy student. Our graduates leave as confident and self-aware young people, equipped with the knowledge and skills to enable them to succeed wherever life takes them.
