About our school

Domremy is set on idyllic grounds in a picturesque part of Sydney. The large campus, renovated and renewed over the years, allows Domremy women to learn in modern settings with a vast amount of specialisation, from Drama and the Creative Arts through to STEM, Philosophy and Ethics. Domremy has a history of high expectations nurtured by high support and wellbeing from a dedicated and experienced staff.

Domremy has a very positive reputation in the local community. Community links are varied and students are regular participants in community activities, events and competitions. With a high number of feeder schools, Domremy women are wonderful role models to younger students. This is seen in student support of primary sacramental programs, primary school visits, Catechist classes or umpiring and refereeing sport gala days.

Dedicated staff oversee expansive co-curricular and extra- curricular programs which allow students opportunities to specialise in areas of interest, sample different clubs and activities or demonstrate leadership. A dedicated focus on growth mindset, excellence and a Learning and Wellbeing Framework encompassing Voice, Exploration, Relationships, Insight, Thought and Engagement, means Domremy women are ready to let their lanterns shine!

Principal's Message

Named in honour of the birthplace of St Joan of Arc, the patron saint of the Parish of Haberfield, Domremy College was founded by the Presentation Sisters in 1911. Nano Nagle founded the original society in 1775 in Ireland which became known as the Presentation Sisters.

It is in the spirit of Nano Nagle’s determination and selflessness that at Domremy we inspire and encourage our community to carry Christ’s light forward.

Set on beautiful and spacious grounds with a number of stunning heritage buildings and iconic, contemporary state of the art learning facilities, Domremy stands for excellence, tradition, faith and service to others.

Domremy is a place of infinite possibilities. With an explicit focus on girls’ education, it prides itself on creating opportunities and experiences that build courageous, independent young women ready to take on the world with a strong growth mindset.

Domremy is a comprehensive high school with a strong focus on the spiritual, academic, social and physical development of our students. It is a vibrant and dynamic community. We are deeply committed to working with parents to develop in their girls a strength of character that enables them to embrace their future with confidence, determination, hope and compassion.
