About our school

St Ursula’s College, Yeppoon, is the only all Girls Catholic Boarding and Day Secondary College in Central Queensland. The College was founded in 1918 by the Presentation Sisters and, over the past century, generations of staff and students have maintained and nurtured our proud Presentation history. St Ursula’s is committed to preserving and continuing the Presentation charism and legacy of Nano Nagle – Foundress of the Presentation Order – through all educational opportunities offered by the College. In living out the College Motto, “Perfice Gressus Meos” (Perfect My Steps), we advocate six key values; Faith, Excellence, Respect, Simplicity, Compassion, and Hospitality.

St Ursula’s offers a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum, catering for diverse pathways and student interests. Programs at the College are designed to meet the needs of young women in the 21st century; our students are encouraged to be critical thinkers, creative and collaborative in learning, who are bold in seeking opportunities beyond the contemporary classroom. Students are provided with individual Laptops and a variety of resources to enliven their learning experiences.

Boarding is an important dimension of College life and provides girls with attractive and comfortable living spaces; caring and capable staff assist with their learning and personal development needs. The seaside environment, community spirit evident in the Capricorn Coast area, and proximity of services in nearby Rockhampton enrich the living and learning opportunities of all our students.

St Ursula’s College values relationships and the Gospel call to show respect for ourselves and others. All these opportunities create a distinct spirit at St Ursula’s and assist our students develop confidence, competence, and compassion, as they strive to ‘Perfect (their) Steps’.
