At St Mary’s College we centre everything we do around our 5 core values. RESPECT, JUSTICE, COMPASSION, INCLUSIVITY and COURAGE.
We believe in fostering healthy relationships between the boys and girls who will be our future leaders. For us that means providing students with a voice. Placing them in situations where they listen to the thoughts of others and work together to achieve a common goal.
A St Mary’s College co-education is real life education, where respect is the basis of all relationships. Our students are asked to act with justice and fairness towards each other, to show compassion and empathy towards the marginalised, be welcoming and inclusive, celebrating diversity.
We ask them to be courageous and learn from mistakes, which are inevitable.
We are enormously positive about the possibilities St Mary’s College offers the young people who are here and those joining us every day.
St Mary’s College is both steeped in rich tradition and in new bloom as an option for those seeking vibrant Catholic co-education for young people that is inclusive and ambitious. Our motto – Better Together – captures our purpose to build respectful relationships through sharing our unique gifts with the world and each other. Nurtured by dedicated and resourceful educators in an environment in which student wellbeing and safety is paramount, St Mary’s students are encouraged to strive for excellence in all endeavours through perseverance.
Student leadership is highly valued at St Mary’s College. It is a mechanism by which connectedness is enhanced and helps our young people to actively participate in the learning process. We want our students to be inquiring citizens and demonstrate courage and compassion, especially striving for justice by giving voice to the marginalised.
We are a school that is highly accessible by public transport, we welcome your consideration of St Mary’s College as a place where your young person will flourish.
