About our school
For 150 years, St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace has provided holistic education for young men in Brisbane, grounded in rich history and tradition. The Gentlemen of Terrace are shaped by academic rigour, camaraderie, and the lifelong bonds formed under the iconic red and black.
As one of Brisbane’s oldest educational institutions, Terrace has expanded its facilities and campuses while preserving its core values. The main campus in Spring Hill is supported by a Year 9 campus, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, 10 hectares of sporting fields at Tennyson, and an Outdoor Education Centre at Maroon Dam. In 2025, Terrace will open its new Years 5 and 6 campus, further enhancing its offerings.
Joining Terrace means becoming part of a living tradition that spans generations. Since 1875, over 20,000 Gentlemen of Terrace have walked its halls, guided by the values of Servire Deo Sapere—‘To Serve God is to be Wise.’ These values have built a strong community filled with shared memories and traditions. As Terrace celebrates its 150th anniversary, it remains deeply committed to continuing its proud tradition of shaping gentlemen of character and wisdom.
