About our school
For generations, St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace, has provided a holistic education for young men in Brisbane, grounded in history and tradition, and committed to forming well-rounded gentlemen. The Gentlemen of Terrace are shaped by academic rigour, camaraderie, and the lifelong bonds formed under the iconic red and black.
As one of Brisbane’s oldest educational institutions, Terrace continues to grow its facilities while preserving the values at its heart. The main campus in Spring Hill is complemented by a dedicated Year 9 campus, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, ten hectares of playing fields at Tennyson, and an Outdoor Education Centre at Maroon Dam. In 2025, Terrace opened the new Margaret Rice Place Years 5 and 6 campus, beginning new traditions for our youngest students and expanding opportunities to learn, lead, and connect.
Joining Terrace means becoming part of a living tradition that spans a century and a half. Since 1875, more than twenty thousand Gentlemen of Terrace have walked its halls, guided by the College motto Servire Deo Sapere—‘To Serve God is to be Wise.’ These values continue to shape a community built on shared memories, faith, service, and tradition. Terrace remains committed to educating young men of character and wisdom
In 2026, I am honoured to step into the role of College Principal and lead Terrace into its next chapter. As we emerge from our 150-year celebrations, I look forward to building on the strong foundations, traditions, and values that have shaped generations of Gentlemen of Terrace.
It is a privilege to guide a community so profoundly committed to faith, learning and character, and I am excited for the opportunities the year ahead will bring.
Mr Damien Fall Principal
