About our school

At Salesian College Chadstone, our community is dedicated to helping young men learn with purpose and lead with integrity. Guided by our core values Integrity, Respect, Belonging, Joy and Dynamism, we nurture students who thrive academically, personally and socially. Our diverse community encourages each student to discover his strengths and develop into a confident, compassionate young man.

The Oratory Program supports this growth, helping students become “good Christians and honest citizens” while embracing different learning styles and talents. Our curriculum offers a breadth of pathways including VCE ATAR, VCE VM and VCE VET, enriched by the Select Entry Biretta Program and the Year 9 China Academic Program.

Students pursue their passions through the Sports Academy and partnerships with St Kilda FC, Melbourne United, Baseball Victoria and Liverpool FC International Academy, as well as music, debating and ACC sport programs. Innovation, leadership and community engagement are celebrated, with recognition including the 2025 Victorian Protecting Children Award, VCE Leader of the Year for Thomas Maguire Nguyen and The Educator’s 5 Star Best Schools Award.
As a proud member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), Salesian College Chadstone is committed to excellence in learning and teaching, student wellbeing and the development of globally minded, socially responsible young people grounded in Salesian values.

Principal's Message

Our Salesian Charism, underpinned in the educational principles of our founder, St John Bosco shapes our future focused pedagogical vision.

Relationships between a student and his teacher and peers is important in the development of a boy’s learning. To reach his full potential, he needs to be supported in a safe and inclusive learning environment where the dignity of each person is nurtured and respected.

It is important that we focus on the holistic development of our young men as it helps them form their identity, build positive relationships and develop an optimistic approach to life.
