About our school
Established in 1957, Salesian College Chadstone is a Catholic boys’ school for Years 7 to 12, serving over 1,000 students across two campuses on either side of the Monash Freeway. Situated on 25 acres just 5 minutes from Chadstone Shopping Centre, our educational philosophy is inspired by St. John Bosco, focusing on his spiritual and educational principles.
We embrace diversity and foster relationships based on mutual respect, treating every member of our community as a valued partner in nurturing lifelong learning. At Salesian College, students benefit from a broad spectrum of academic, spiritual, social, cultural, and sporting opportunities. Our exclusive partnerships, including one with Liverpool FC International Academy, enhance our sports programs. We support a wide range of abilities with enrichment opportunities for gifted students and comprehensive learning support programs, including vocational pathways.
It’s an exciting time to be at Salesian College Chadstone with the development of our new Year 7 and 8 Precinct, designed to provide targeted curriculum and engaging pedagogy. This development reflects our commitment to a holistic education that supports academic, social, and emotional growth. Pastoral care remains central to our mission, and we take pride in our strong record of supporting students to achieve their best.
Principal's Message
Our Salesian Charism, underpinned in the educational principles of our founder, St John Bosco shapes our future focused pedagogical vision.
Relationships between a student and his teacher and peers is important in the development of a boy’s learning. To reach his full potential, he needs to be supported in a safe and inclusive learning environment where the dignity of each person is nurtured and respected.
It is important that we focus on the holistic development of our young men as it helps them form their identity, build positive relationships and develop an optimistic approach to life.
