About our school

With over 125 years of history, we have been a leader in education in the outer eastern suburbs. A Catholic College founded by the Sisters of Mercy, our goal is to nurture the talents of every student.

Providing a values based education, our students are instilled with a spirit of respect for everyone. Recognising the uniqueness, dignity and worth of every human being, an MLMC education is grounded in Christian values that builds resilience and faith to assist our graduates in making decisions for life.

Our co-educational institute provides students with multiple pathways that gives them confidence to successfully transition from school to further education and work.

Our unique location gives us stunning views of the Yarra Valley and space to house a farm and a vineyard that boasts of a thriving agricultural and horticulture program featuring an award-winning winemaking program.

With dedicated teachers and a strong leadership team, the College continues to inspire students to be the difference in the world. Our graduates pursue all different careers grounded by the values instilled in them.

The College offers exceptional value for a quality education that will bring out the best in your child.

Principal's Message

Meeting the needs of today’s students is both a privilege and a challenge. It is what drives us and I feel honoured to lead Mount Lilydale Mercy College. Our task is to develop the innate talents in every child who enters the College and to ensure they leave with the confidence to fulfil their potential.

Your child will be immersed in a culture that highlights Catholic values in everything we do. We warmly welcome each child into our community, where they will gain the skills, courage and confidence to be their best and give their best throughout their lives.

Philip Morison, Principal
