Mount Alvernia College at Kedron is the only Catholic secondary school (Years 7-12) for young women in the Franciscan Tradition in Queensland. Here, girls are provided with a well-rounded education through academic challenge, a variety of sporting and cultural endeavours and meaningful social justice programs. They come to know themselves and their purpose in life by living the gospel values of courage, service, respect and joy.

At Mount Alvernia College, we offer a contemporary and forward-thinking pedagogical approach. Instilled with the Franciscan charism of our foundress Elizabeth Hayes, Mount Alvernia College is a thriving learning community with over 960 students. Every student is known by name, valued, respected and are boldly seeking their aspirations with purpose and meaning. We pride ourselves on producing graduates that are globally aware and empowered to use their voice and talents to respond to the needs of the time.
