Mazenod College is an established Catholic College for boys in the charism of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Operating under the leadership of a lay Principal Dr Paul Shannon, and Rector Fr Harry Dyer OMI, Mazenod College is a College founded on the belief that education can be both contemporary and rooted in tradition. We are inspired by the life and work of St Eugene de Mazenod who entreats all of us to “learn who we are in the eyes of God” and inspires us to be “burning flames, not smouldering wicks”.
We are committed to an education that allows each young person to flourish in all areas of life including academics, faith, music, sport, public speaking and art. Indicative of this holistic approach to excellence, we are proud of both our outstanding academic results and nationally recognised Volleyball, Chess, Debating and Music programs.
Mazenod Colleges history of excellence across the curriculum is maintained by our teaching faculty, who provide a pastoral yet disciplined environment in which every student is empowered to discover his academic passion and potential. We consistently achieve exceptional VCE results demonstrated in our most recent graduating class in which 56 students achieved an ATAR over 90. These students, along with all of their classmates, join a strong old collegians community including sporting and social organisations that offer support for life.
