St Vincent’s College Ashfield – Our Past, Our Present, Our Future
In 2023, St. Vincent’s College Ashfield embarked on its journey as a transformative K–12 coeducational Catholic school, the result of merging three esteemed Ashfield institutions – St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School, Bethlehem College, and De La Salle College. With a rich legacy of over 400 years in Catholic education, the College, guided by the motto ‘Ecclesia in Mundum’ (‘Church to the World’), envisions graduates who thrive as contributors to a just and equitable global society.
Rooted in the traditions of the Vincentians, Sisters of Charity, and De La Salle Brothers, the institution upholds values integral to a faith-filled community. The College’s holistic approach to education emphasises academic achievement, social justice and a caring learning environment. Specialisations in STEM, entrepreneurship and global capabilities, coupled with diverse co-curricular programs and partnerships with universities and the corporate sector, offer students unique learning pathways.
While maintaining its Catholic foundation, the College is undergoing a phased transition to full coeducation, operating in three sections: Early Years, Middle Years and Senior Years by January 2027. Positioned as a lighthouse school in the Ashfield community, St. Vincent’s College aspires to meet the evolving educational needs of the inner west, offering a seamless K–12 coeducational experience and fostering collaboration with the St Vincent’s Parish community.
