St Bernard’s College – Our Past, Our Present, Our Future

St Bernard’s College boasts a rich and proud history that dates back to 1940 when it commenced at The Strand campus Moonee Ponds before acquiring the Essendon site.

Having celebrated 60 years on the Essendon site in 2023, the College is renowned for its strong sense of community and the close relationships it fosters with its old collegians.

The College has continued to thrive, with the recent opening of the state-of-the-art Margaret Tierney Centre, which is designed specifically for senior Year 11 and 12 students.

In addition, the College has introduced a new campus for Year 9 students in 2023, as well as innovative learning opportunities through the Baccalaureate pathway and Urban Engagement experience.

Looking ahead, St Bernard’s College is committed to building on its strengths and forging new connections with local girls schools, developing its sports programs, and investing in building developments and refurbishments to provide the best possible opportunities for current and future students.
