Sacred Heart Girls’ College – Our Past, Our Present, Our Future
Sacred Heart Girls’ College was founded in 1957 to fill a growing need for girls’ education in the south-east corridor of Melbourne. Since then, the College has earned a reputation for delivering an excellent academic education at an affordable price.
At Sacred Heart Girls’ College, we know that a strong sense of wellbeing is an essential foundation for learning, personal development and success in life. We recognise the importance of each member of our community feeling connected, engaged and empowered. Our community is small enough that every student is known and large enough that we can offer a broad range of subjects and co-curricular programs. With the introduction of VCE Vocational Major, Sacred Heart Girls’ College provides a pathway for every student.
Dedicated teachers support our students and provide context for learning, connecting what happens in the classroom to real- world applications. Modern, flexible and stimulating learning spaces are technology rich and designed to maximise student engagement. The College continually reviews curriculum to ensure that it delivers the skills, knowledge and dispositions needed for an always evolving future and creates opportunities for the young women we educate.
