Clancy Catholic College – Our Past, Our Present, Our Future

Clancy was founded in 2006 to meet the needs of a growing community in the West Hoxton area. The College began with 55 enrolments and 10 staff members and has quickly grown to a school of well over 1200 students with approximately 130 staff. Whilst we are still a young school (only 19 years old in 2024), we have quickly gained a reputation as a school that performs extremely well academically, as shown by our outstanding HSC results.

This early and ongoing academic success is due to a clear vision that focuses on excellence and high expectation for both students and staff. The College fully expects to continue to improve in terms of academic standing via a focus on educational research and student engagement.

Our College crest – created in partnership with our patron, Cardinal Clancy – tells us a great deal about our past, present and future. The cross reminds us that our College, and our lives, are centred on Jesus. At the base of the College Crest is the symbol of the Word of God which was taken directly from Cardinal Clancy’s crest. We intend to never lose sight of this early vision for the College and how our College motto, ‘To Love Like Christ’, challenges us to be the very best human beings we can be, inspired by the words and actions of Jesus.
