About our school
St Therese’s Catholic Primary School caters to students and families from a diverse range of cultures and faith backgrounds. Since opening its doors in 1989, the school has grown to become home to 230 students representing more than 35 nationalities, creating a unique and vibrant community.
In 2022, St Therese’s Primary School completed extensive upgrades to its facilities, including a new administration wing, 11 classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art hearing augmentation technology, two student kitchens and common areas designed for collaborative project work. These improvements have created a contemporary and flexible learning environment that is valued by both staff and students.
Our staff work tirelessly to provide high-quality learning experiences and achieve excellent educational outcomes for every student. Our teachers are dedicated to ensuring each child develops strong foundations in English and Mathematics, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for future success. In addition to the core curriculum, students engage in a rich and diverse range of additional learning opportunities, including weekly classes in Physical Education, Visual and Media Arts, and Performing Arts, encompassing Music, Dance and Drama. At the commencement of the 2026 school year, the school proudly introduced Auslan as its Language Other Than English, further enriching students’ learning experiences and fostering inclusive communication skills.
An inquiry-based approach to learning in the area of Religious Education means that our students leave St Therese’s School with a holistic view of the Catholic traditions and scripture stories and how they may relate to their lives in today’s everchanging world, bringing them to know the fullness of God.
Principal's Message
At St Therese’s Primary school our vision is simple: do all that you do with love. Inspired by Saint Therese’s belief that even the smallest act of love is large in the eyes of Jesus, our school is committed to nurturing each child’s growth and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
As one of the smallest primary schools in the Cranbourne area, we take pride in knowing that every child is known by name. Our intimate setting allows us to foster a close-knit community where diversity is celebrated. Students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds come together, enriching our school with their unique perspectives and experiences.
From the very first moment a child enters the school, they are invited to encounter God through interactions with students and staff within a calm and nurturing environment. St Therese’s strives to ensure that each student grows in faith to be understanding and respectful of one another.
We look forward to welcoming your family to St Therese’s Primary School.
