About our school

St Therese’s Catholic Primary School caters to students and their families from a diverse range of cultures and faiths. Since first opening the doors in 1989, the school has grown to be home to over 280 students from over 35 nationalities creating a unique and special place.

Staff work tirelessly to produce excellent educational outcomes for students. Our teachers are focused on ensuring each child learns fundamental English and Mathematics skills to prepare them for their future. In addition, the school offers rich and diverse learning opportunities that include weekly classes in PE, Visual Arts, Japanese and a Sustainability & Kitchen Garden program.

St Therese’s Primary School has recently completed extensive upgrades to all facilities, including a new administration wing, 11 new classrooms that use state of the art hearing augmentation, two student kitchens and common areas for project work. The new learning facilities, complete with new furniture, create a contemporary learning environment which our students love, especially the flexibility to enjoy cooking and science in the student kitchens.

An inquiry-based approach to learning in the area of Religious Education means that our students leave St Therese’s School with a wholistic view of the Catholic traditions and scripture stories and how they may relate to their lives in today’s everchanging world and bring them to know the fullness of God.

Principal's Message

Inspired by Saint Therese’s belief that even the smallest act of love is large in the eyes of Jesus, our school is committed to valuing young people and their development as people with a lifelong love of learning.

We envisage a school where:

  • An individual’s personal relationship with Jesus is nurtured within the tradition of a Catholic community.
  • The wellbeing of each member is nurtured through building positive relationships.
  • Everyone works together and is responsible for their learning.

We are blessed to be one of the only schools in the area to host a Community Hub. Open to all community members, the Hub hosts adult English, computer and sewing classes as well as a playgroup for pre-school children.

We look forward to welcoming your family to St Therese’s Primary School.
