About our school

At St Patrick’s, Koroit, we are a small, welcoming school where every child is known, valued and supported. What makes us different is our commitment to both wellbeing and high impact teaching, built on strong relationships and whole school consistency.

We are proud to be a Science of Learning school, where teaching is grounded in what research tells us about how students learn best. Structured Literacy and evidence based mathematics give students the strongest foundations, while the Cognitive Load Theory informs everything we do. This vital body of knowledge helps our educators design learning that supports memory, reduces overload and leads to long term success.

Student wellbeing is central at St Patrick’s. We explicitly teach Wellbeing as a specialist subject, use School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS) and offer sensory spaces like our Zen Den, where students can feel calm, safe and ready to learn.

Our specialist subjects such as STEM, Sport, Visual and Performing Arts and Wellbeing provide rich, engaging experiences for all students. Small class sizes and a values driven culture allow every student to shine.

At St Patrick’s, our motto Peace, Love, and Respect is lived every day—creating a learning community where every child can thrive.
