About our school
At St Michael’s Catholic Primary School Stanmore, we offer a curriculum that is differentiated and centred on the child. Recognising that students learn, grow and achieve at different rates, we have placed a strong focus on the use of data to assess, identify and target the specific learning needs of students.
To effectively deliver this approach, all our staff are committed to professional learning focusing on improving student learning growth and outcomes. Through various teaching and learning strategies, our aim is to continue to create and differentiate classroom programs to extend, enrich and develop students’ gifts and talents.
We offer a range of co-curricular activities including chess, inter-school sport opportunities, coding and robotics, choir and the Mandarin language program. Students from Years 3 to 6 also participate in the Amadeus Music Education Program. Sydney Catholic Schools have employed specialist music tutors to teach students an instrument of their choice. Students perform and showcase their achievements throughout the year at various events.
We are passionate about Creative and Practical Arts. Our specialist teachers provide opportunities for students to explore and develop skills across the various domains of the Creative and Practical Arts. This includes Visual Arts, Music, Dance and Drama.
