About our school
Established in 1824, the College holds a unique position in Australia’s educational landscape, merging a 200-year legacy with modern academic and co-curricular programs that meet the needs of today’s students. Rooted in values of respect, integrity, and service, our mission is to cultivate well-rounded, compassionate leaders who are inspired to contribute meaningfully to society. As a co-educational, Kindergarten to Year 12 College, we are committed to fostering a community where each student feels valued and inspired to pursue excellence across academic, creative, and performing arts fields. The College’s foundations are deeply intertwined with the vibrant culture of Sydney’s St Mary’s Cathedral, offering a rare environment where spirituality and scholarship blend seamlessly. With a strong focus on social justice and pastoral care, we support students in developing not only intellectually but also morally, instilling in them a lifelong commitment to making positive impacts. St Mary’s Cathedral College truly nurtures faith, courage, and excellence, honouring the past while embracing the future

Facilities
St Mary’s Cathedral College boasts modern and welcoming facilities beyond the norm, including access to the Domain, Art Gallery and St Mary’s Cathedral. These facilities enable students to engage in both collaborative and independent learning, building on the skill sets they need for the future.
Already a landmark school, St Mary’s will grow to become a dual campus college. The second site, located on William Street, will cater to the rising demand of enrolments. This campus will feature state of the art facilities including a performance space, gymnasium, augmented reality and technology spaces, multi-purpose break areas and more.
