About our school

As a successful small school, we know every child and family in our values rich environment with strong local community links. We promote wellbeing, providing students with skills to build strong relationships and thrive in their learning, focussing on key literacy and numeracy skills.

A strong sense of self, healthy relationships and a safe, secure learning environment are at the heart of our wellbeing focus. Supporting this for all children is part of our core work and our well-being dog Bonnie is a special way to help our students with emotional regulation and social connections.

Our major capital investments provide contemporary environments for students, enhancing their learning opportunities and wellbeing. Our wonderful Adventure Playspace and new Multi-sports Court are great additions to our facilities. Soon we begin construction of new classrooms for our Early Years students (Reception to Year 2) with a connecting ‘Learning Street’ for collaborative learning. View the developments here:- https://www.stjotran.catholic.edu.au/learning/building-programs.

Our extension programs include instrumental music tuition, sports academies, debating teams, specialist learning support programs and students leadership opportunities.

Our Reception readiness program, Little Stars, runs every Friday morning throughout the Semester before your child joins us and is a wonderful transition for your child into school.

Principal's Message

At St Joseph’s Tranmere we pride ourselves on our sense of welcome and openness to all. Being a smaller community means we know each family well and work together to support the learning and wellbeing of all the children in our care.

We are open to families of all faith backgrounds. Our catholic identity is expressed in contemporary ways and shapes our sense of inclusiveness, our values and our care for each other and for the earth.

We are committed to high quality, contemporary learning that understands and develops the best in all.

I look forward to meeting you.
