About our school

St Joseph’s School is committed to the faith development of all members of its community. St Joseph’s provides rich learning programs and opportunities, with the long-term goal of empowering students to become life long learners and guided by the Catholic faith.

St Joseph’s learning environments reflect contemporary, evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning, aligned with the MACS 2030 vision for flourishing learners. Our classroom settings provide structured, calm and purposeful spaces that support explicit teaching, clarity and consistency for all learners. Informed by current research on how children learn best, teachers deliver clear instruction, guided practice and timely feedback to ensure every student is supported to achieve their best.

Our classrooms are intentionally designed to promote focus, engagement and a strong sense of belonging. High expectations, positive relationships and respect for learning are evident across the school, with students and staff valuing our school as a place where learning, faith and wellbeing are nurtured and flourished.

Principal's Message

Since we opened our doors back in 2009 we have grown to become a vibrant learning community. St. Joseph’s is forward thinking in its philosophy of learning, with a passionate, dedicated staff. We utilise our village environments to ensure that learning for everyone is engaging, authentic and collaborative.

We are committed to delivering our core business of learning, embracing our Catholic identity, strongly grounded in Mathematics and English. This vibrant learning community is dedicated to building foundational knowledge and dispositions for all students to succeed in learning and life. Our Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) program provides a whole school approach to support students to develop positive respectful, and responsible behaviours by modelling and reinforcing school expectations. We encourage a shared responsibility to challenge learners and their families to reflect on their relationship with their God and the Catholic tradition.

We offer students a variety of opportunities to develop their talents through The Arts, Innovation Technology, Sport & eSports, Languages and lunchtime clubs.
St. Joseph’s primary School has created an educational environment that fires the imagination, develops good citizenship and promotes a lifelong thirst for knowledge.
If you would like to participate in a tour or talk to a member of our dynamic team please contact the office.

We look forward to walking forward in partnership with you in your child’s learning journey.

Julie Mcdougall – Principal
