Principal's Message

Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic School community in the Mary Help of Christians Parish.

It is my pleasure as principal, to welcome you to St Joseph’s Catholic School, The Strand. St Joseph’s values a strong, supportive and involved Catholic school community. We seek to create an environment where all children, staff, parents and guardians feel valued, included and engaged.

Parents and carers are the first educators of our students, and we seek to work alongside you to develop and educate the whole child socially, emotionally, academically, spiritually and physically.

St Joseph’s has a strong tradition of academic, sporting and cultural success across all year levels. We feel it is essential that every child is given the opportunity to experience success and develop their potential. St Joseph’s is a Catholic school committed to an education centered on Christ and the Gospel values. These are implicit in every aspect of school life and define our interactions with one another. Our school motto ‘Love God. Love one another’ reflects the important example of Christ as we endeavour to reach out to those in need in our community. We strive to meet all with peace and love.

It is a privilege to share with you this important time in your life and that of your child, as they begin their primary education. I look forward to working with you as we strive to provide your child with the best possible educational experiences and outcomes.
