About our school
St Joachim’s School is one of two primary schools in the parish community of Seaford. A close relationship exists with St Anne’s School, Seaford, our partner parish primary school. It is at St Anne’s that we gather to celebrate significant occasions such as the Sacraments of Confirmation, Reconciliation and Eucharist.
St Joachim’s prides itself on endeavouring to cater to each individual child’s needs and ensuring that the school has a positive learning environment in which students learn and play.
St Joachim’s School is committed to providing a comprehensive and relevant curriculum. The school remains mindful of the ever-changing challenges and demands our students will need to confront in this fast-moving world. There is considerable emphasis placed on literacy and numeracy. Across the school a consistent approach to both literacy and numeracy is currently in operation.
The school is currently participating in a number of major projects: Positive Behaviours Project, National Partnerships Literacy Program, Children’s Literacy Success Strategy (CLaSS), Middle Years Literacy and Success in Numeracy Education.
The school provides students with a range of extra-curricular activities that engage students in social participation activities that enhance their social and emotional skill development.
The Literacy & Numeracy Leaders work collaboratively with each level coordinator and their teams to ensure curriculum development, planning and engagement addresses individual need while attending to whole-school strategic planning.

We proudly celebrate our Catholic Faith by immersing students in rich liturgical experiences within our school and parish community.
Together with the family/school partnership we seek to nurture the students to become happy, purposeful and compassionate citizens.
Our motto, “Love in unity”, encourages us to respect, care for each other and work as a team. We have a professional team of teachers who provide challenging, student-centred learning opportunities. Students at St Joachim’s learn in a respectful, safe and caring environment where they are encouraged and empowered to reach their full potential and to act responsibly.
We recognise that parents make an important contribution to the education of their children and welcome their active involvement and participation in the life of the school. I look forward to working with you and sharing in the important partnership of developing your child’s learning and wellbeing at St.Joachim’s School.
