St Columban’s has a rich tradition, dynamic and inclusive spirit, and a strong sense of community.
The College has many different programs and caters to a broad range of needs. It has high expectations of students and forms a partnership with students and their families. This learning partnership gives ownership to the students in a context of respect and shared vision of best possible outcomes.
Students are encouraged to reach potential and to step out of their comfort zones. Standards of excellence are set in all areas and students will be challenged to apply themselves diligently – leading programs in technology, academic and vocational excellence are set for our students. Our College program embraces the performing arts and provides opportunities for performance and expression. It also has a strong tradition of participating in TAS interschool sport on Saturday mornings with a very dedicated sporting department.
The celebration of mission and faith at St Columban’s College is reflected in its support and partnerships with disadvantaged groups, outreach to those in need and a wonderful retreat and liturgy program in the spirit of its charism of Edmund Rice.
