Principal's Message
Welcome to St Clare’s Catholic School, where all are welcomed and individuals realise their potential.
At St Clare’s, we believe a balanced education is important. Consequently, our students enjoy a wide range of learning, sporting, musical and social justice opportunities. We endeavour to help our students develop their skills, resilience and talents, along with a strong sense of compassion and justice, so that they will make a positive difference in our community. Our students enjoy a very strong sense of belonging which is strengthened by the consistent support and encouragement that exists within the St Clare’s community.
In an increasingly complex and challenging world, the education of our students, crucially, is grounded in Gospel values and spiritual and faith growth in synergy with academic achievement and development of social skills and confidence.
St Clare’s Catholic School follows the Franciscan spirituality that stresses simplicity, humility, dependence on God, a love for the poor, and finding God in others and the natural world. Our school staff, families, students and the parish community work to live our motto ‘Be a clear light’ fully.
Parents are recognised and celebrated as the first and most important educators of their children. They are encouraged to participate in the life of the school. A strong sense of partnership is evident in our school community by the high level of parent involvement and the great spirit of hospitality also shown by staff and students. We work together to create happy and safe classroom and playground areas, which we believe, are essential for a successful learning environment.
We feel privileged to share in the learning journey with you, and will be happy to discuss your child’s individual needs, and the services offered by St Clare’s Catholic School. I encourage you to get in contact should you have any questions or would like to arrange a school tour.
