About our school
St Carlo Borromeo Catholic Primary School is a proud and trusted part of the Greenvale community. Known for our commitment to excellence in both learning and care, we are privileged to support the growth of every child entrusted to us. Our strong reputation and high demand for enrolments reflect the deep trust families place in our school.
At St Carlo’s, we believe learning is a lifelong journey of discovery and possibility. Guided by the MACS Vision for Learning, we hold high expectations for all learners, recognising and celebrating the unique gifts and dignity of every child. We foster deep learning through rich, purposeful experiences that inspire students to be curious, creative and courageous thinkers.
Our learning environment is one where students are energised to explore big ideas, seek meaning, and grow in confidence as they engage with the world around them. Our school supports each child to flourish spiritually, academically, physically, emotionally and socially. We are committed to nurturing hearts and minds so that our students develop a strong sense of purpose and live with hope, compassion, and justice.
In line with the MACS Vision for Engagement, we know that education is a shared journey. We value the partnerships we form with families, the parish, and the wider community – working together to build a vibrant, inclusive and welcoming school where everyone belongs and contributes. Together, we support students to grow in faith and knowledge, and to take their place in shaping a better future for all.
At the heart of St Carlo’s is a community animated by love, enlightened by faith and united by a shared vision of learning, engagement and hope. We look forward to welcoming you into our school family.
Principal's Message
Welcome to St Carlo Borromeo Primary School, a place where faith, learning and community come together to create a truly vibrant and nurturing school experience. At St Carlo’s, we are proud to be a part of the Gladstone Park Parish of the Good Shepherd, and to share in the mission of Catholic education; where every child is known, valued and inspired to flourish.
Our school has grown from humble beginnings in 1987 with just 120 students, to a thriving community of over 570 students today. As our numbers have grown, so too has our school. Our beautiful, modern facilities now include a multi-purpose hall and parish chapel, dedicated senior and junior learning spaces, and an arts centre that celebrates both visual and performing arts. These inspiring spaces reflect our ongoing commitment to providing the very best for our learners.
At the heart of St Carlo’s is our deep belief in the potential of every child. We are committed to providing a rich and authentic Catholic education that nurtures students academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally. With our school motto, “Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow,” we encourage every student to be a curious, courageous and capable learner – empowered to think critically, work collaboratively and contribute positively to the world around them.
Guided by the MACS Vision for Instruction, our teachers are passionate, reflective professionals who work together to ensure high expectations and high support for all learners. Through contemporary, evidence-informed teaching practices and a focus on strong relationships, we create classrooms where all students feel safe, engaged, and motivated to learn.
Above all, St Carlo’s is a community – one built on Gospel values, mutual respect and a shared commitment to helping every child thrive. I warmly invite you to become part of our story, and I look forward to welcoming you in person and sharing all that makes our school such a special place.
Warm regards,
Kevin Gleeson – Principal
