About our school
St. Brigid’s School students come from far and wide to attend our school because we are well known in our community as the leading Primary School in the Healesville area. The school is located on the top of a hill and is deceptively large in size – incorporating an amazing natural bush space for imaginative play, dedicated STEM, Performing Arts, Music, Visual Arts, Library and Physical Education teaching spaces in addition to our 14 classrooms for daily class learning.
School community engagement is a strength of St Brigid’s, with students actively engaged in visiting local preschools, participating in local activities (ANZAC Day Ceremonies), fundraising for Chambu Primary in Malawi, and regularly taking part in social justice support in conjunction with the St Brigid’s Parish Care Group.
We believe that the well-being of our students is at the core of everything we do. We provide support through early intervention, focused and targeted teaching, modelling and active engagement with parents. Our school motto encapsulates all of this as we ‘Grow in Wisdom and Love’.
Principal's Message
I am very proud to introduce myself as Principal of St Brigid’s having started in this role in late 2022. I am enjoying familiarising myself with the school community and who have all made me feel very welcome. St Brigid’s is certainly a special place for students, parents and staff and I am very privileged to be a part of this community. Together we strive to create a school where every student and staff member is empowered, challenged and supported to achieve continuous growth and improvement in a collaborative environment to enable each student to flourish in a Catholic context.
