As part of the Melbourne Archdiocesan Catholic School system, St Bernard’s School forms the minds and hearts of children in the knowledge and love of God. St Bernard’s provides a nurturing environment where children develop the capacity to wonder, to grow in knowledge and understanding, and to use their gifts to serve others. Our small class sizes enable students to develop strong connections with their fellow students and teachers. St Bernard’s is blessed with a dedicated staff who are passionate about learning and teaching, and to the intellectual, spiritual, physical and social/emotional development of every child.

Our students are encouraged to live a spirit of service and to make a positive impact in the world. St Bernard’s community spirit is inspired by two great saints: St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia’s first saint, who once said, “Never see a need without doing something about it,” and St Bernard of Clairvaux, who wrote, “Your actions in passing, pass not away, for every good work is a grain of seed for eternal life.” In this spirit, St Bernard’s students engage in service to the community throughout the year, both in the Bacchus Marsh community and beyond.
