Principal's Message

Thank you for your interest in St Anthony’s Primary School. As Principal, I am proud to lead St Anthony’s, a welcoming Catholic school where every child is known, valued and supported to thrive. Our community is built on strong relationships, shared values and a deep commitment to learning, wellbeing and belonging. Teaching at St Anthony’s is intentional, evidence-informed and personalised, helping children grow in confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.

We hold high expectations for all students and provide targeted support so every child can achieve their personal best. Our students are active participants who are encouraged to ask questions, reflect on their progress and take increasing responsibility for their learning and behaviour. Guided by Gospel values of empathy, respect and inclusion, our Catholic identity is lived each day through the way we care for one another. I warmly invite you to discover St Anthony’s and experience a community where families are embraced, young minds are nurtured, and every moment truly counts.

Quick Facts

  • At St Anthony’s School, we want every child to grow into a confident, capable learner who is ready for the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century. We know children learn best when they are actively involved in their learning, ask questions and feel supported to try new things.
  • We recognise that every child is unique. Our teachers plan learning that allows students to move at a pace that suits them, take increasing responsibility for their learning and experience success along the way.
  • Grounded in our Christian faith, we place strong emphasis on the essential skills of literacy and numeracy. These subjects are taught explicitly through an instructional framework called the Gradual Release of Responsibility. Teachers break down new information, provide clear explanations and offer step by step guidance.
  • At St Anthony’s, students and teachers work together to shape a curriculum that is engaging, meaningful and responsive to different learning needs. We aim to make learning relevant and enjoyable, while challenging students to think deeply and creatively.
  • We also help students develop critical and creative thinking skills so they can set goals, solve problems and make thoughtful decisions.
  • We offer a range of intervention and support programs to ensure every child receives the help they need. These programs are guided by ongoing assessment and a commitment to giving each student the best possible learning experience.
  • Our school community is supported by an onsite Before and After School Care Program, providing families with convenient and reliable care options.
  • We warmly welcome parent involvement across all areas of school life. We believe that when families and teachers work together, children benefit from a strong, supportive partnership that helps them grow academically, socially and emotionally.
