St Andrew’s School is a faith community. It is a place where gospel values and the teachings of Christ’s Church are reflected in its policies, its structures and the relationships of its members. At St Andrew’s we aim to integrate areas of secular learning with faith, knowledge and experience. We seek to develop the whole person of the child in an environment where gospel values are lived and become a norm for school policy decisions. The staff of St Andrew’s have implemented an integrated language experience program. This method involves developing a topic in each grade through team teaching, small-group activities leading to child-centred investigations, and excursions.
Due to the highly multicultural nature of St Andrew’s, a main focus is the English as a Second Language program, and languages other than English taught to the children include Italian, French and Arabic. In the area of pastoral care the school has the Rainbows and Prism programs operating. The school is part of the parish and works in very closely with the parish community.

The St. Andrew’s Advantage: Faith, Foundation, and Flourishing
At St. Andrew’s Primary School, we believe that for a child to truly excel, they must first be known. With a vibrant community of approximately 310 students, we offer great facilities and diverse programs of a large school while maintaining the intimate, “small school” personal care where every face is recognised and every voice is heard. Aligned with the MACS Flourishing Learners pillar, our mission is to treat each child as a unique individual created in the image of God. We provide a sanctuary of belonging, where students are not just educated, but are seen and valued, allowing them to build the character and confidence necessary to navigate an ever-changing world.
Academic excellence at St. Andrew’s is driven by a high-growth culture, that marries traditional foundations with modern evidence-based practice. We have refined our curriculum to focus on Explicit Instruction in literacy and numeracy – ensuring every student masters the basics as a springboard for complex critical thinking and creativity. By setting high expectations for both achievement and behaviour, we create a calm, purposeful environment where students consistently reach their full potential. This success is underpinned by the MACS Vision for Instruction, ensuring our teaching methods are grounded in the Science of Learning, giving your child the cognitive tools to move from surface-level facts to deep, lifelong understanding.
Beyond the classroom, St. Andrew’s serves as a hub for a rich, multicultural Parish community, fostering a partnership between school and home that is essential for a child’s spiritual and emotional wellbeing. We focus on the whole child, integrating social-emotional learning with a contemporary Catholic worldview that encourages students to become compassionate, missionary disciples. Our dedicated staff bring innovation and heart to their work, ensuring that when our graduates leave for secondary school, they do so as capable, self-assured leaders. We invite you to experience the spirit of St. Andrew’s firsthand – a place where faith, friendship, and a love of learning create a truly special environment to grow.
