About our school
Our college motto “To Love , To Serve, To Shine” grows from our Christian values and lived through our commitment to inclusivity, community service and personal achievement as we walk in the footsteps of our Patron Saint, Mary Help of Christians.
We aim to develop our students holistically in a school community that embraces the Catholic ethos, values each person and gives them a lasting sense of belonging. Principal's Message
As the Principal of Southern Cross Catholic College, I welcome you to Townsville’s newest co-educational Prep to Year 12 College.
We value the education of young people in a Catholic environment and are committed to providing quality opportunities that will develop and enhance the gifts of our students. The College, under the patroness of Mary Help of Christians, is closely aligned with St Joseph the Worker Parish, Wulguru and is administered by the Townsville Catholic Education Office.
At Southern Cross Catholic College we are educating for life-long success. We recognize each child as being unique and formed in the image of God. Our aim is to assist in the development of the whole person through fostering a school environment in which students can grow in all aspects of life and become their best selves. Our careful balance of academic, sporting, cultural and spiritual programs ensure students develop the skills and attitudes needed to lead successful and fulfilling lives.
Southern Cross Catholic College is at a crucial stage in its development towards becoming a leading P-12 school in the Townsville Diocese.
