About our school

Seton Catholic College’s philosophy that ‘every interaction matters’, places value on purposeful relationships between all members of our College community and in turn makes every individual feel valued, safe and connected.

A strong vertically structured Pastoral Care program based on a House system with support embedded through Heads of House and Pastoral Care Teachers provides a solid foundation for students to thrive at the College. Seton believes that a sense of belonging is the basis for the success of all our students.

Seton’s holistic approach to education aims to aim facilitate students’ appreciation in multiple facets of life and so they become happy well-rounded adults who are interconnected with the world around them. We take pride in offering a broad and meaningful education that embraces intellectual, physical, spiritual, religious, social and emotional development.

Responding to the varied needs and goals of 21st century leaners, Seton provides a flexible pathway for each individual student based on their needs and future plans. Students are offered the traditional ATAR University pathway, as well as the Future Qualified (FQ) Pathway, an innovative model offering students an industry and tertiary supported pipeline to qualifications, skills development and learning experiences.

Students are encouraged to follow Gospel values and aspire to our College Motto to ‘Seek Christ’ in all facets of their lives. Ultimately, we inspire our students to live life to the full, daring greatly without being fearful to become the best version of themselves, whilst contributing meaningfully to the world.

Head Girl's Message

At Seton I have found my passion in the arts. The huge range of opportunities in arts, sports, academics, and ministry allowed me to develop my strengths with the support of amazing College staff. The relationships students have with staff members is something I’ll remember long beyond my graduation. Transitioning into Year 7 can be daunting; however, peer support, the Team Seton initiative and a vertical pastoral care structure allow Year 7s to have role models in all years. These systems provide support by people who know what they’re going through and foster a sense of support and belonging.
