About our school

Sacred Heart is a Catholic primary school located in the area of St Albans, which is in the western region of Melbourne.

It is a Catholic primary which works closely with the parish and two other parish schools: Emmaus and Cana. There are about 300 students in this school and they are from 35 different cultural backgrounds.

Many of these students are supported financially by the Parish of Sacred Heart. This school’s particular emphasis on literacy and numeracy has reaped successful rewards in the high rate of achievement in the students’ literacy and numeracy levels.

Sacred Heart has a strong team spirit. The parish, teachers, students and parents continue to work together at Sacred Heart to produce a vibrant and caring school community. It is a place where everyone feels safe to work and learn.
