Principal's Message

It is with great joy and a deep sense of purpose that I welcome you to Sacred Heart Primary School, Oakleigh. Situated in the vibrant and diverse suburb of Oakleigh, just 15 kilometres south-east of Melbourne’s CBD, Sacred Heart is more than a school – it is a community coming together in faith and learning, to build a future full of promise.
As the new principal, I feel truly blessed to walk alongside our families on this journey of learning, faith, and growth. At Sacred Heart, we believe in the power of strong relationships and shared purpose. Together, we celebrate the diversity of our students, families, and wider community, seeing it as a gift that enriches all we do.
Inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus, we are committed to living our Catholic faith with compassion, integrity, and hope. Teaching at Sacred Heart is more than the delivery of curriculum – it is teaching that speaks to the heart, nurtures the soul, and forms minds ready to think critically, creatively, and compassionately.
We embrace the challenge to think outside the box and strive for excellence in all areas of learning, while remaining connected to what truly matters – the hearts and lives of our students. Here, learning is not just about academic achievement; it is about sparking curiosity, igniting minds, and cultivating flourishing, lifelong learners who are confident, resilient, and kind.
Our vision is lived each day in classrooms, playgrounds, and parish connections – a vision that unites us in mission, guides our actions, and inspires our goals. Together, as a faith-filled and forward-thinking community, we build a place where every child is known, valued, and empowered to grow.
