About our school

Situated in the Woodroffe community of Palmerston—Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School offers a nurturing space where children are known and cherished. Welcoming students from Early Learning (ages 2–5 years) through Year 6, the school fosters an intimate, family-like atmosphere rooted in partnership between educators and families. Drawing from the Gospel invitation to “Love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34), Sacred Heart cultivates resilient, respectful, faith-filled learners who grow in kindness and purpose within a Christ-centred community that embraces diversity and feels like home.

At Sacred Heart, faith and learning intertwine to inspire young hearts towards Jesus. The Religious Education program, grounded in the Journey in Faith curriculum, guides students from Transition to Year 6 in exploring God’s love and Catholic identity.

The Australian Curriculum unfolds through child-centered, 21st-century approaches that blend holistic growth with excellence in teaching and learning. Specialist areas like the Library, and Instrumental Music Program enrich experiences, while robust planning, assessment, and pastoral care ensure every child progresses with confidence. The Early Learning Centre emphasises play-based discovery under the National Early Years Learning Framework, led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, empowering children to build positive relationships, spark imagination, and feel safe as unique individuals.

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School celebrates your child’s unique gifts in a faith-filled embrace, laying strong foundations for life. We warmly invite you to explore this special community—enrolment now. Reach out to the dedicated team at (08) 8924 8700 or visit www.shpsnt.catholic.edu.au for a tour.

Principal's Message

Here at Sacred Heart we are dedicated to providing a holistic education that combines Catholic teachings, 21st century learning, and high-quality pastoral care and wellbeing.

We believe in meeting the needs of each and every child, and providing them with the opportunity to grow and develop to their full potential in a diverse and inclusive community. Our use of technology in teaching practices and great learning spaces ensures that our students are well-equipped for success in the modern world.

Our school welcomes students from Early Learning (2-5 year olds) to Year 6 and we are proud to be a part of their journey of growth and development. We understand the importance of partnership between families and the school in the education of our students and we are committed to working together to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for all.

We are proud to live out our vision statement of creating an integrated faith and learning community based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to provide excellence in education and nurture faith-filled learners who are respectful and resilient in living the commandment of Jesus “Love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34).

We look forward to working with you and your child to help them reach their full potential and become well-rounded, faith-filled individuals.
