About our school
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a Catholic systemic co-educational school located in Villawood. Students attending Sacred Heart come from a wide variety of backgrounds and nationalities.
School staff comprises of teachers, learning support officers, and school support staff. There are specialist teachers in English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D), Newman Gifted Education, Reading Recovery, and learning support.
At our school, we focus on providing a number of opportunities for our students to help them grow and reach their full potential. The programs offered include specialist music, art, and physical education taught by specialist teachers. Years 3-6 students learn a musical instrument through the Amadeus program. We have continued to embed and expand our Gifted Selective Education Program through selective opportunities.
The students have access to a variety of co-curricular programs that include: gymnastics, swimming program, choir, representative sporting trials, Chess, Japanese Club, the University of New South Wales International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS)
Our school is set in a large open environment which includes vegetable gardens and many spaces for play and outdoor learning.

Inspired by our school motto, ‘Learning is Sacred’ we are committed to developing the faith of our children and assisting them in achieving their full potential. Sacred Heart has a wonderful sense of community, and it is our privilege to work in partnership between parish, school and families.
We celebrate the diversity of cultures, valuing the dignity and uniqueness of each student. We provide a safe and inclusive learning environment in which every child is known and feels valued.
