About our school
Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Primary School is a welcoming Catholic school located in the leafy suburb of Donvale. Gospel values are at the heart of our learning community, shaping the way we teach, learn and care for one another.
We believe that educating children is a shared partnership between parents, teachers, home and school. Together, we nurture each child’s spiritual, intellectual, social, physical and personal development, while fostering a strong sense of belonging and connection to the Catholic faith.
Our spacious and attractively landscaped grounds provide students with areas for play, seating and shade. Classrooms, specialist learning spaces and our library resource centre are well equipped, heated, air conditioned and networked to support contemporary learning.
At Our Lady of the Pines, our curriculum supports the MACS 2030 vision for Flourishing Learners, where every student is inspired and enabled to flourish and enrich the world. Through evidence-based teaching, explicit instruction and purposeful learning experiences, students are supported to achieve growth across the breadth of the Victorian Curriculum. We are committed to nurturing the whole child, developing their intellectual, practical, social, emotional and moral capabilities.
Students are encouraged to think critically, work collaboratively, solve problems, show resilience and contribute positively to their community. Through structured programs and a strong focus on engagement, wellbeing and belonging, we help every child build the confidence, skills and dispositions needed to thrive as lifelong learners.
We are committed to recognising and fostering the potential of every student through a range of specialist, support and extension programs. In partnership with our families and parish community, we provide a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to grow, learn and flourish.
