Our Lady’s School is situated in the western suburbs in a highly industrialised area and serves a richly diverse community with a large migrant population. We are a welcoming and faith-filled community where staff and families work in partnership as educators, guided by the example of Jesus Christ. With 14 classes from Foundation to Grade 6. We are committed to supporting every child’s growth, academically, socially, and spiritually.
Our vision centres on high-quality instruction and explicit teaching across all areas of learning, with a particular emphasis on strong foundations in literacy and phonics and mathematics. We are dedicated to ensuring that every student develops the skills and confidence needed for lifelong learning.
Students engage in a broad and dynamic curriculum that includes Art, Performing Arts, Digital Technology, STEM, Physical Education, and Italian. Learning is enriched through access to a range of facilities, including an auditorium, school hall, Library, contemporary learning spaces, and historical buildings and artefacts connected to St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, which deepen students’ sense of heritage and identity.
Our multicultural community is a defining strength of the school, bringing a richness of perspectives and experiences that enhance learning for all. School events and liturgies are celebrated with great enthusiasm, reflecting our strong sense of community and shared faith.

It is a privilege to be the Principal of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Primary School. I take great pride in being entrusted to lead such a vibrant and faith-filled community.
As a returning student, I attended the school from Foundation to Grade 6, and I carry with me the lasting impact of an education grounded in strong relationships, belonging, and care. My experience here shaped who I am today, and it is deeply meaningful to now serve the very community that nurtured my own learning journey.
At Our Lady’s, we work closely with our Parish to ensure that students are immersed in our Catholic traditions and come to understand what it means to make a difference in the lives of others. Faith is lived each day through our actions, our learning, and our commitment to service.
A key focus at Our Lady’s is providing a safe and supportive learning environment where every child feels secure, valued, and ready to learn. Students are immersed in a culture where learning, caring for one another, and working together are central to daily life. We place great importance on building respectful relationships and fostering a strong sense of community.
Through rich and engaging programs, a strong commitment to explicit teaching, and targeted classroom and intervention support, we ensure that every student is given the opportunity to succeed. Our evidence-based approach, particularly in literacy and phonics, provides clear, structured learning that builds confidence and strong foundations for future success. Combined with strong partnerships between school, families, and the wider community, Our Lady’s is a place where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.
The legacy of the St Josephite Sisters remains visible in our school culture. Their values of humility, compassion, and dedication to education continue to guide our work and inspire our students to strive for excellence while caring for those around them.
We are proud to be a welcoming and inclusive community, and we warmly welcome all newcomers with open arms and genuine care. Through strong partnerships with families, we aim to provide a high-quality education that nurtures the whole child spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.
I warmly invite you to discover all that Our Lady’s has to offer and to become part of our rich and supportive school community.
