Our Lady of Sion College is a Catholic secondary school for girls from Years 7 to 12 with a long and proud history of educating young women in the Box Hill and surrounding areas.
In our inclusive community, every student is named and known, valued and nurtured, encouraged and supported through the personal relationships we foster. This is a differentiating factor that sets us apart. From the moment our students join us, they feel a strong sense of belonging and are encouraged to achieve.
Being an all-girls school we provide the environment for students to thrive in their learning and personal development. They have the undivided attention and support of their teachers and all opportunities for participation are available to each student. Our students are less restrained by gender stereotypes and develop confidence that they can pursue their interests more freely and challenge themselves in subjects they otherwise may not have in a co-education.
We aim to foster in our students a love for learning, an inquiring and discerning mind, the pursuit of personal excellence, a compassionate concern for others and a strong sense of hope that they can become positive agents of change in their world. Ultimately, our learning environment and the varied opportunities we provide aim to support each student’s journey towards becoming the young person God created her to be.
When students leave our College at the end of Year 12, they can look forward to a future filled with hope, developed through the vast range of learning experiences offered at Our Lady of Sion.
