Principal's Message

Welcome to our school’s website where you can explore and learn more about our wonderful school community.

The values of Faith, Education, Mercy and Hope are the foundations of our Mission Statement and are implicit in every aspect of school life. We seek to create an environment where all children, staff and parents feel valued, included and their contributions worthwhile.

Our Lady of Lourdes has had a strong tradition of academic, sporting and cultural success and enrichment from Prep to Year 6. We feel it is essential that every child has the opportunity to experience success. With this in our minds, we educate the whole child: socially, emotionally, academically, spiritually and physically.

Our school attains above State averages in the Year 3 and 5 National Testing Scores and we continue to review and improve our curriculum and teaching methods to ensure that all children receive the best education possible. Our students are involved in many community and school events, including the Ingham Arts Festival, local and regional sporting carnivals, the Maraka Festival and the Italian community celebrations. We feel it is important for students to appreciate that they are valued members of our wider social community and that they will help shape the future of our community. We value the development of self-regulation.

Our Positive School Wide Behaviour Engagement Plan reflects the school’s Mission and Vision Statement. In a supportive environment, students are encouraged to be merciful, respectful, and safe learners. Our behaviour management strategies assist our school community in creating a school environment where all children are valued and feel safe.

We use the Values for Australian Schooling to guide the development of our students in becoming responsible citizens. We hope that you always feel welcome at our school. I invite you to talk to me about a future where your family joins our school community.
