About our school

A Prep to Year 12 school, our College commenced in 2016 offering Prep to Year 3. Over the years to come, we will develop our full offerings through to Year 12, with an anticipated 1600 students, their families and members of staff forming our College community. Our full primary offering, Prep to Year 6, was in place in 2019, and secondary education commenced with Year 7 in 2020. Our first Year 12 cohort will graduate in 2025.

MacKillop Catholic College is situated in the southern corridor of Cairns. We value our welcoming, inclusive community, our innovative curriculum, engaging pedagogy, and dedicated staff. The dispositions of Respect, Engagement and Personal Best underpin all that we do at MacKillop.
