About our school

Holy Spirit School has about 320 students from Prep to Year 6. There are 14 classes: two Prep classes; two Grades 1 classes two Grade 2 classes; four Grades 3/4; and four Grades 5/6. The school grounds are safe and secure. The play facilities are varied. There is a large adventure playground, netball/basketball courts and other hard surface areas. The resurfaced grass area provides year-round access. The students at Holy Spirit are active and enthusiastic.

At Holy Spirit, we believe all encounters are important in our life and faith formation, which prepares us to learn and grow from everything we experience. We call this approach ‘Our Catholic Way of Being’ as our Christian and Wellbeing values are inextricably linked forming the rich foundation in which we guide and help our students and community to flourish.

Our School Vision is expressed in our Catholic Way of Being, as we all learn through this statement:

Guided by the Holy Spirit, we aspire to be a kind, inclusive and respectful learning community, connecting with one another as we grow in God’s love. ‘I am because we are…’

Principal's Message

At Holy Spirit School, we embrace our Catholic identity by creating an environment where every child is cherished as a unique gift from God. Our community thrives on the foundation of strong relationships, where faith, learning, and well-being interweave to nurture the whole child.

We believe in fostering an environment where students feel happy, confident, and secure, enabling them to flourish spiritually, academically, physically, emotionally, and socially. Our approach aligns with the Victorian Curriculum and the Australian Student Wellbeing Framework while deeply rooted in Catholic values and teachings.

Our strength lies in the partnership between Students, Teachers, Families, and Parish, working together to create a vibrant learning community. We celebrate diversity and value each person’s unique story and contribution, recognising that every interaction shapes our school culture.

Through our comprehensive learning program, informed by the Religious Education Curriculum and positive educational approach, we help students develop their relationship with God and themselves while striving for academic excellence. We aim to foster wonder and curiosity, assisting children to see God’s love for them and all that surrounds them as an integral part of their daily lives.

Our commitment to continuous improvement ensures we meet contemporary learning needs while maintaining our Catholic traditions. We strive to develop responsible, confident learners who make wise choices, growing their awareness whilst discovering their God-given talents.

Together, we create a community where faith illuminates learning, kindness guides actions, and every child is supported to reach their full potential.
