About our school
Catherine McAuley is a Kindergarten to Year 6 Catholic Primary School located in Orange NSW. We are situated on the corner of Byng and Hill Streets, near St Joseph’s Church and close to the main street and the central business district of Orange. Catherine McAuley is part of the Catholic Parish of St Mary’s and St Josephs in Orange, and a member of the Bathurst Diocese.
Catherine McAuley is a three stream school, with a current enrolment of approx 515 students. We occupy the site previously held by Sacred Heart Infants School and St Joseph’s Primary School. In 2012, the Diocese felt the need to join the two schools together to form a new school. We now operate on the two campuses previously held by these two schools. We are currently the largest primary school in the Bathurst Diocese.
