Burdekin Catholic High School is a vibrant and energetic Catholic school founded in the Marist charism, which embraces a close working relationship between staff, students and parents. Students are at the heart of the Learning and Teaching Cycle. The TCE Learning Framework provides Catholic schools in the Townsville diocese direction in the implementation of its core message of a curriculum that empowers its students to be “21st Century Learners”.

Our school has a strong intra-school competition involving the three Houses – Polding, Marcellin and Clarence. Each year teams vie for both a Spirit Trophy and a Points Trophy in swimming, athletics and cross country.

Burdekin Catholic High School places great value on cultural pursuits in the fields of Music, Visual Art and Drama.
