As the College prepares to celebrate its 165th Anniversary in 2023, the current educational approaches the constant of ‘re-imagining’. The contemporary curriculum, and wellbeing strategies would have been un-imaginable 20 years ago, let alone 165 years ago.

The rate of change underpinned by technology has been rapid, and even more accelerated by the reliance on remote learning during the pandemic. Accessing collegial expertise from across the world, collaborating with students beyond our College gates, researching from databases held by distinguished libraries, learning and working from home are not the figment of imagination now – they are reality.

So much of how we educate has been re-imagined, but what has stayed the same is the why? We educate at St Vincent’s College to fulfil the commitment of Jesus that he had come so that each of us could live ‘life to the full’. Through our comprehensive, contemporary education we educate the whole person which means particular focus on their spiritual, emotional, academic and physical needs. There is no need to re-imagine that approach!
