Some changes in the education landscape are subtle and nuanced.  Others are tectonic.  Arguably, technology with the advent and rapid and wide adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are tectonic shifts that will alter how students learn and are taught.

St Scholastica’s College – in its nearly 150 years since foundation – has never shirked the challenge of the new and, already, our wonderful school is navigating the benefits of AI for the academic advancement of girls and young women to become citizens of worth.

At St Scholastica’s, AI will never replace the teacher and it can’t paper over a lack of knowledge but it can be leveraged to help students develop critical thinking and analysis.  The College recognises and accepts AI as a tool but never as a total replacement for sound, in-classroom, time-tested and proven methods to advance students’ knowledge.

Technology advances rapidly and, as always, change is constant.  The challenge is to adapt and address those changes to enhance the educational process without sacrificing the human aspect of the classroom.
St Scholastica’s – 150 years old but as modern as tomorrow.  It is a wonderful place to learn and be taught.
