St Rita’s College QLD – Change Makers
At St Rita’s College, we celebrate the transformative power of our community members — change makers whose dedication and impact shape our environment. We honour those whose leadership, compassion and commitment embody our core values and inspire others.
Among these remarkable change makers is Georgina Howard, our Head of Primary, who advocates for a nurturing approach that fosters confidence self-efficacy and independence in young learners. Year 5 student Ayarah Fernando stands out as a member of the Hopeful Hearts Club, where she shares inspiring stories of women of faith to uplift her peers. Alumnae Loretta Ryan, an ABC Radio presenter, champions domestic violence survivors through her work with Broken to Brilliant, exemplifying resilience and empowerment. Macy Bishop, a Class of 2024 student and Prix D’Honneur recipient, serves as a role model of integrity and generosity, motivating her peers through her active involvement in College life. Year 10 student Lara Klinge, awarded the Long Tan Leadership Award, is celebrated for her servant leadership and enthusiasm. Craig Kennedy, our Head of Co-curricular Music, believes music education nurtures vital skills like leadership and teamwork, preparing students for a dynamic future.
Together, these individuals inspire the St Rita’s community to create a positive impact.
