St Peter Claver College QLD – Change Makers
As we head swiftly towards 50 years of St Peter Claver College in the Ipswich community, it is only fitting that we acknowledge the change makers at Claver who make a positive impact, inspire and lead the way.
At St Peter Claver College, we take significant influence from three very important change makers: Our Patron Saints St Peter Claver, who was dedicated to serving those victimised by the slave trade; St Marcellin Champagnat, who founded the Marist Brothers because of his passion for education; and Jesus’ mother Mary, who teaches us about unwavering faith, humility and devotion. The examples they set for us present us with the challenge to live out our motto of Concern, Love and Justice.
Through their influence we continue to embrace and celebrate our diversity, foster trusting relationships with members of our community, and deliver a quality, rich and diverse education allowing students to succeed academically while also pursuing special interest subjects, co-curricular interests and future career pathways.
Claver is a place to learn, grow, pursue passions and strive for success. We look forward to the next 50 years of educating Ipswich’s young people who will no doubt become our future change makers.
