St Patrick’s Marist College, Dundas NSW -Building Resilience

At St Patrick’s Marist College, we are committed to delivering learning experiences that promote resilience, build self-esteem and improve social and emotional competencies. Our framework, ‘Connect, Empower
and Grow’, enhances the wellbeing and resilience of our students through experiences both within and beyond the learning spaces. We connect our young people through faith, collaboration with peers, interdependence with teachers and through partnerships with the wider community. Our young people are empowered through compassion, mutual respect, valuing diversity, encouraging success and promoting student voice and agency. We grow our young people through hope, feeling safe and included, developing a growth mindset and self-awareness. We seek to positively nurture wellbeing in our school community with parents playing a key role in promoting wellbeing in the home. Our students are empowered to develop into optimistic global citizens with strong minds and gentle hearts, capable of articulating their beliefs and worldview in light of the Catholic faith and tradition. At St Patrick’s Marist, we encourage our students to develop positive relationships and connection with their peers and community as we recognise that a sense of belonging is key to thriving, building resilience and giving meaning and purpose to life. Our focus is developing the whole person, to become confident and resilient individuals prepared to take their place in this ever-changing world.
