St Patrick’s College QLD – Change Makers
At St Patrick’s College, we encourage every student to be agents of change and to stand in solidarity with those on the margins. By standing in solidarity as a community, we can break down the barriers that divide us and recognise the deep sense of community and connection that is at the heart of our humanity.
We teach our students that a change maker can be anyone who imagines a better way, takes action and collaborates with others to create a new reality for the common good. Anyone at any age has the power to be a change maker. Our world is in a constant state of change and today’s youth are required to have skills and mindsets to navigate these challenges. St Patrick’s College equips our students to show empathy, leadership, collaborative teamwork and resilience.
At St Patrick’s College, we are heartened that so many of our students have taken up the call to be change makers from our Umbarra students, to our Paddy’s Van volunteers, our Waterford Waiters and the Paddy’s Van Garden Club. Being a change maker is a lifelong journey — a message we know St Patrick’s College students will take away with them beyond the College gates.
